THE latest OCTA Research survey on the senatoriables for the upcoming 2025 Midterm elections are out. The survey which was conducted by the respected firm was made last November 10 to 16 with 1,200 respondents nationwide. According to OCTA Research, it has a margin error of 3% and the simple question to the respondents was “Who will you likely vote for Senator in 2025? “
The latest survey showed that Tulfo brothers Erwin and Ben, together with former senate president Vicente Sotto III, were the top 3 choices with 73%,66% and 63% respectively.
Coming in at 4th place was re-electionist Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go with a 52% rating followed by movie actor and also a re-eelectionist Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla at fifth place who received a 49% approval rating.
Meanwhile, Sen. Pilar Juliana “Pia” Cayetano comes in at 6th place with an identical 49%, this means she is technically tied with Revilla for the fifth spot. Come backing Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson occupies 7th spot with a 47% rating while presidential sister Sen. Imee Marcos came in at 8th with a 41% rating.
Another come backing senator boxing legend Manny Pacquiao came in 9th place with 38%, he is followed closely by re-electionist Sen. Manuel “Lito” Lapid with a 36% rating.
Rounding off the top 12 for this latest survey are re-electionist Sen. Francis “Tol” Tolentino and former DILG Sec. Benjamin “Benhur” Abalos with 32% and 30% rating but Makati mayor Abegail “Abby” Binay also received a similar 30% rating.
According to OCTA Research fellow Prof. Guido David, the results were rounded off. In Sen. Revilla and Cayetano’s case, the actual results were 48.97% and 48.55%, with Revilla having the slightest advantage. And in the case of Abalos and Binay, Abalos also had a very slight advantage with a 30.13% rating against Binay’s 30.07%.
Within striking distance were former Las Pinas representative Camille Villar with a 29% rating followed closely by TV host Willie Revillame with 28%. Former senator Gringo Honasan received a 27% followed by former PNP chief and Sen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa with 26% another former Sen. Kiko Pangilinan is in 18th place with a 25% rating.
