IF elections were held from November 26 – December 5, according to the latest survey released by Pulse Asia Research Inc., ACT-CIS partylist Representative and Broadcaster Erwin Tulfo will earn the top spot with 62.2% of respondents picking him as their top choice.
Former Senator Vicente Sotto III, who ran for vice-president in May 2022 elections, placed second with 59.2% voters’ preference, reelectionist Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go was third with 54.7% average followed closely Bitag Host Ben Tulfo at fourth place with 52.7%.
Meanwhile, Senator Pia Cayetano got 46.5% with former Senator and boxing hall famer Manny Pacquiao tailing her with a 45% average. Another comebacking Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson received a 44.1% approval of those who were surveyed, while TV host Willie Revillame running as an independent candidate got 43.6%.
Another reelectionist, movie actor Ramon “Bong” Revilla was statistically tied with Revillame with a 43.5% rating while former Makati mayor Abby Binay got a 40.1% of voters’ preference that is good for 7 th -10 th place. Senator Lito Lapid, another reelectionist, got a 39.2% average while presidential sister and current Senator Imee Marcos got 37.5%.
Rounding off the Top 12 were former PNP chief and reelectionist Sen. Ronald” Bato” Rosa and Camille Villar, daughter of former senator Manny Villar with 36.9% and 36.5 respectively.
Within striking distance were former Senators, Kiko Pangilinan, Gringo Honasan and Bam Aquino with 33.1%, 28.6%, and 28.2% while former DILG Sec. Benhur Abalos got 26.0%.
The survey involved face-to-face interviews 2,400 randomly selected Filipino individuals and were asked to choose from 66 senatorial candidates approved by Commission on Elections (Comelec).
