Gerona, Tarlac: The Door-to-Door Consolidators Association of the Philippines start unloading the first of many shipments they’ve successfully acquired from the Bureau of Customs after the latte lifted the abandonment imposed on it.

MICP Collector Romeo Rosales declared the shipments abandoned by CMG after the company failed to pay shipping line fees, shipping line container demurrages, arrastre fees and container storage charges, as well as the legally mandated duties and taxes in-spite of the regular reminder by IED Chief Bienvenido Entico.
Seven container vans from the various companies operated by CMG and within the Middle East are now entrusted to DDCAP after multiple attempts by the BOC to persuade CMG to release the shipments were unsuccessful.
DDCAP and its member companies which have been involved in the balikbayan box industry for decades and are more than capable to get these consignments delivered to their final destinations were entrusted by the BOC to get those boxes shipped to its consignees.
DDCAP have begun unloading some of the container vans in one their member’s warehouses, Atlas Brokerage and Express Padala. ABXP has graciously volunteered to have their sorting and delivery facilities used so that each box in their care gets to their final destination at the soonest possible time.
DDCAP President and ABXP CEO Joel P. Longares, have reassured the BOC officials that using the existing facilities by its members, every consignment will be carefully inventoried and each claimant promptly informed of the whereabouts of their shipment.
