Antipolo City, Rizal, December 6, 2024 — Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC), through its dealership, Isuzu Manila – has delivered 10 brand-new Isuzu NLR77 Class 2 Public Utility Vehicles (PUVs) to Lungsod Silangan Transport Service and Multi-Purpose Cooperative (LSTSMPC), showcasing the cooperative’s continuous commitment to providing modern, comfortable, and reliable transportation for passengers along the Cogeo to Cubao route.

With this latest delivery, LSTSMPC now operates a total of 111 modern PUVs, solidifying its position as one of the biggest transport operators in Antipolo City. The new Isuzu NLR77 PUV is powered by a 4JH1-TC Blue Power Diesel engine that generates a maximum power of 106 PS and a torque of 230 N-m, ideal in transporting heavy loads and numerous passengers while maintaining fuel efficiency.

Built to meet the Philippine National Standard (PNS) guidelines, the new PUVs has a Class 2 body configuration fabricated by CENTRO Manufacturing, air-conditioning system provided by Country Cool, and an Automated Fare Collection System (AFCS) powered by BEEP – combining an overall features that enhances passenger comfort and convenience, ensuring a seamless travel experience.

What truly sets Isuzu apart is its robust aftersales service and readily available spare parts, a critical factor in LSTSMPC’s decision to expand their fleet with Isuzu vehicles.

“We trust Isuzu because of its strong aftersales support to their customers. Parts availability is critical to our operations, and with Isuzu, we can be assured of minimal downtime for our units. Their service costs are reasonable, and their extensive service packages give us confidence in our decision,” said Arcadio Inso, LSTSMPC General Manager.

Financing for the new PUVs was facilitated by Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC), marking a shift for cooperatives like LSTSMPC who are turning to commercial banks for greater flexibility in fleet expansion amidst challenges in securing government-backed loans. “We are proud to be part of LSTSMPC’s journey toward modernizing public transport. As always, our focus remains on delivering the best aftersales service to ensure our customers’ operations remain smooth and reliable,” said Art Silvestre, Isuzu Manila Branch Head.

This latest delivery further higlights IPC’s continued support to the government’s PUV Modernization Program and transport cooperatives nationwide by providing high-quality, environment-friendly, and customer-centric transportation solutions.
