Hyundai Truck & Bus Philippines Supports New Marikina PUV Routes with Partner 7’s Expanded Modern Public Utility Vehicle Fleet

A new milestone in modern public transportation is underway in Marikina City as Hariphil Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai Truck & Bus Philippines, reinforces its commitment to the country’s transport modernization efforts by supporting Partner 7’s fleet expansion with the launch of 15 additional Hyundai HD50S GT Class 2 Modern Public Utility Vehicles (MPUVs). The new units will further strengthen Partner 7’s operations along the Marikina route, providing commuters with safer, more reliable, and more comfortable public transport.

Currently, Partner 7 operates jeepneys along the Marikina route, 32 of which are Hyundai HD50S GT Class 2 Modern Public Utility Vehicles (MPUVs). The addition of 15 new HTB MPUVs further reflects the cooperative’s continued confidence in Hyundai’s proven reliability, operational efficiency, and passenger-focused design, while reinforcing its commitment to delivering safer, more comfortable, and more dependable transport services for the growing commuting public.

The fleet expansion was formally launched on July 28, 2026, at the Marikina Hotel Convention Center. The event featured a Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony, Vehicle Blessing, and the official turnover of 15 new Hyundai HD50S GT Class 2 Modern Public Utility Vehicles (MPUVs), underscoring another step forward in supporting the government’s Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP) and improving urban mobility in Marikina.

The ceremony was attended by representatives from the local government, the transport sector, and Hyundai Truck & Bus Philippines, demonstrating their shared commitment to modern public transportation. Among those present were Councilor, Jaren Feliciano, Councilor, Atty. Pat Sicat, Councilor, Angel Nuñez, and Head of OPSS Marikina, Frankie Ayuson of the City Government of Marikina; Atty. Zona Russet Tamayo, Regional Director of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board – National Capital Region (LTFRB-NCR); Saturnino De Guzman, President of Partner 7; Maxwell Quilat, Chief Operating Officer of Frontier Automotive Marilao Corporation (FAMC) – Hyundai Truck & Bus Alabang; and Timothy Magisa, Assistant Vice President for National Sales Division of HARI. Their presence highlighted the strong collaboration among government agencies, transport operators, and industry partners in advancing the country’s public transport modernization efforts.

“At Hyundai Truck & Bus Philippines, we believe that modern mobility goes beyond providing reliable vehicles; it is about enabling transport operators to deliver better services that improve the daily lives of Filipino commuters,” said Ms. Maria Fe Perez-Agudo, Vice Chairman, President, and CEO of HARI.

“Partner 7’s continued trust in the Hyundai HD50S GT Class 2 reflects our shared vision of advancing safer, more efficient, and commuter-centric public transportation. We are proud to support their fleet expansion as we help drive the Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program and build a more sustainable future for mobility in the Philippines.” Ms. Perez-Agudo concluded.

The Hyundai HD50S GT has become a preferred platform for modern public utility vehicle operators because of its dependable performance, passenger comfort, fuel efficiency, and durability, making it well-suited for the demands of daily public transport operations.

As Hyundai Truck & Bus Philippines continues to strengthen partnerships with transport cooperatives and fleet operators nationwide, the company remains committed to delivering innovative mobility solutions backed by comprehensive aftersales support, a nationwide dealership network, and customer-focused services that keep businesses moving.
